Lunar Digest: Full Moon in Scorpio

full moon in scorpio

Working with my menstrual cycle, the Wheel of the Year, and the lunar cycle have served me so well over the last 7-8 eight years. The Moon in particular supports me throughout the month in re-committing to my intentions, taking inspired action and shedding whatever doesn't support the woman I am becoming. I do my own Full and New Moon rituals, and lead The Sisterhood Of The Moon New Moon Circles online in groups and have helped numerous women to maximise their manifestation potential by allowing 'Lady Luna' to inspire their day-to-day lives. The Lunar Digest is a bi-monthly blog post sharing the main themes of the upcoming lunation, my own take on what The Moon has in store, a practice to engage with, an affirmation for The Moon, and a journaling prompt. I hope you enjoy!

The Full Moon in Scorpio - 23/4/2024

Main themes:

  • Let it sink in

  • Lower your expectations

  • Raise your standards

  • Shedding the weight of envy

My take:

With the Full Moon comes the opportunity to shed, let go, release and forgive... And after that last few weeks of eclipse season, lawd-knows we need it!

The Sun is working its way through Taurus, which is indicates a very cut-and-dry case of facing up to reality, acceptance of what is, and taking practical steps to move forward. That, combined with the Moon falling into Scorpio invites us to find the harmony between the real-world things which need to be done day-to-day, and the more esoteric practice of healing through the residual feelings which may still need sorting out post-eclipse.

A change is in the air, right? You can feel it too. As the wheel of the year is turning, the season of Spring is making its presence know, so that, combined with the leapt year, the eclipses, the series of numeralogical synchronicities we've had this year (2/2,24, 4/2/24, 24/2/24, 2/4/24, 4/4/24 and the upcoming 24/4/24...), the Mercury retrograde and everything that will have been going on for us in our own lives, charts, and stars, there are major energetic shifts being made around and within us. But, Scorpio is what's known as a 'fixed sign' so this means we can expect things to feel a little steadier during this time. Thank goodness for that.

So keep it simple this Moon, by considering what you are ready to let go of from the last couple of months? Especially consider the recent times where you have stung or been stung (Scorpio has that dangerous little tail, afterall...) Remember that the sting of a Scorpio is intended for defence, in times of fear of attack, so be kind to yourself and other when working through this. Sometimes we need to dive a little deeper on this, because the presence of the 'sting' isn't always apparent, or it may be something which is likely to hurt in the future, so don't be afraid to explore this and make any necessary decisions which will protect your peace (or the peace of others) moving forward. Pay special attention to times where expectations have been too high, or standards too low.

Affirmation:

"I am conscious of my thoughts, feelings and actions and will not allow venom to prevail."

Journaling prompt:

Who or what do you need to forgive right now? Have you been stung or stung someone else recently? Is there anything you're overlooking which will likely cause pain in the future? What were you doing on those numeralogically synchronistic dates? How was your eclipse season? How has Mercury retrograde been for you?

Practice:

Commit yourself to two practices this month: The first, is something which your 3D-self needs to do (eg. sorting your tax returns, tidying out the spare bedroom, finishing your project for work etc). The second is something that your 5D-self needs to do (eg. booking in for a reiki session, running a goddess bath, working with a morning meditation practice etc). Then, head to The Soul-Led Sisterhood Experience: Lifestyle Upgrades for Fierce Females free facebook group so we can celebrate your commitments and hold you accountable!

I'm still processing an intense healing experience from a fortnight ago, some energetic quantum leaps, 'landing' back at home after my solo-Glastonbury retreat last week, my second book-launch, and settling into a new routine for Walter and I to enjoy... At this time, I have nothing more that I'm ready to share <3

With grace and grit,

Gabriella
