Lunar Digest: New Moon in Gemini

Working with my menstrual cycle, the Wheel of the Year, and the lunar cycle have served me so well over the last 7-8 eight years. The Moon in particular supports me throughout the month in re-committing to my intentions, taking inspired action and shedding whatever doesn't support the woman I am becoming. I do my own Full and New Moon rituals, and lead The Sisterhood Of The Moon New Moon Circles online in groups and have helped numerous women to maximise their manifestation potential by allowing 'Lady Luna' to inspire their day-to-day lives. The Lunar Digest is a bi-monthly blog post sharing the main themes of the upcoming lunation, my own take on what The Moon has in store, a practice to engage with, an affirmation for The Moon, and a journaling prompt. I hope you enjoy!

The New Moon in Gemini - 6/6/2024

Main themes: 

• The deepest kinda love

• True connection

• Healing communication

• Creativity and inspiration

My take: 

Gemini is all about duality, so a New Moon in Gemini has two faces to it as well... The 'friendlier' face this moon is the one which presents good fortune, synchronistic timing, and celebrations (this, primarily because Jupiter is involved). Venus isn't far off this month's moon as well, and she brings the divine feminine energy of love, creativity, sexuality, sensuality, and receiving abundance forth. Jupiter being involved also supersizes all of that goodness, so YAY!

And... there is the other face. The slightly rougher, tougher, 'no-time-for-fluff'er planet of Saturn is involved. Saturn, the 'it's-for-your-own-good' planet is clashing with our lady Venus. Think of Saturn as the firm father: you kind of hate him when he is telling you off, but soon after you realise that he had your best interests at heart and also, he was right. Insert insolent teen eye roll here.

So what does this mean? Well, it means that all of those energies which are connected to Venus (sacral chakra connections) may be brought into question here. Is there a secret which you've been keeping from your partner? Or do you fear that they are keeping something from you? Have you been conducting yourself in a way that you're embarrassed or ashamed about, in terms of your career, money or romantic life? Is there something going on where you need to call yourself out on your own bullshit? This Moon, it is coming, whether you like it or not, so it's time for those big girl panties I'm afraid.

That said, it really is for the best. If you, or someone in your life is letting you (or their) Highest Self down, a confrontation of that truth can only end in raising standards and stepping up. It may be uncomfortable and hard, but the caterpillar suffers in the chrysalis before she can spread her wings and become that beautiful butterfly, so remember to ask not 'Why is this happening to me?' if things get challenging this Moon, but 'Why is this happening FOR the woman I'm becoming?'

Speak your truth, express yourself, and communicate in a way which seeks healing and nothing more. It will work out. I'm sure of it.

Affirmations:

"I look for the love that exists all around me... I allow it to permeate my being and inspire my life. I take a breath first, so that I can choose the most loving way to communicate my truth. An abundance of fresh ideas and inspiration flows to me freely... I receive it with gratitude."

Journaling prompt:

Reflect on any (and all) previous relationships, situationships and sexual flings. Include those that almost-were as well as those that definitely were... What did you learn about yourself and the way you relate in love to others? How could you apply this learning to your connection with abundance and manifestation? Romance/relationships/sex and success/money/manifestation are SO related!

Practice: 

It is time to take stock on your current manifestations practices... You KNOW you are magical and miraculous, right? And you KNOW that you have the power to manifest your heart's desires (just look at your life right now: so much of what you have right now is something you wished for once-upon-a-time). So WHY aren't you committed to your manifestation practices? Maybe you need something fresh to work with? Now would be a great time to reflect on your current practices, and on the practices which you're not currently working with but would like to. I have such a rough relationship with Gemini as there is one specific person in my life, a karmic partner (ex) who is a Gemini, and the two-faces of this sign were very much present in my perception of him in our situation...

Thankfully, over the last couple of days though, I've been sensing a real acceptance of a possible truth which I never allowed myself to see during our situation. This has been hard in some ways, because if this possible truth is the actual Truth, I am able to see and understand why there was no other way our situation could have ended (and the way it DID end was brutal). BUT, it has allowed me to surrender a little more, empathise a little more, and forgive a little more in the process.

I apologise for being so cryptic on this, but all of this is basically to say: everything which this Moon stands for has felt true for me this month. It all resonates, and that was the case before I even knew that these were the themes of the month so all I can say is: I'm a believer!
