Before we get stuck in to this month's Lunar Digest, I want to tell you about something very special which I'm all kinds of excited about at the moment... The Soul-Snack Subscription is BRAND NEW right now, and it allows us (me, you and the other women of our Soul-Led Sisterhood) to connect deeply on a regular basis. Think: multiple weekly journaling, meditation and wellness practice prompts, conversation cues for rich new friendships, a space to 'Ask-Me-Anything' (literally ANYTHING, whether it is holistic wellness, feminine empowerment, spiritual healing, personal development, alternative parenting etc), a weekly opportunity to promote, share, or brainstorm your art, business offering, or upcoming projects and more. For simplicity, I've decided it will be housed in a Whatsapp community, and for accessibility, I've decided the investment (at the moment) in exchange for being a part of this sisterhood will be just £3 per week... We started last week and the connection is so rich, I'm so glad I decided to do this. Check out all of the details HERE and if you feel called, please sign up, I'd love to have you in there!
Now, on with the Lunar Digest! Working with my menstrual cycle, the Wheel of the Year, and the lunar cycle have served me so well over the last 7-8 eight years. The Moon in particular supports me throughout the month in re-committing to my intentions, taking inspired action and shedding whatever doesn't support the woman I am becoming. I do my own Full and New Moon rituals, and lead The Sisterhood Of The Moon New Moon Circles online in groups and have helped numerous women to maximise their manifestation potential by allowing 'Lady Luna' to inspire their day-to-day lives. The Lunar Digest is a bi-monthly blog post sharing the main themes of the upcoming lunation, my own take on what The Moon has in store, a practice to engage with, an affirmation for The Moon, and a journaling prompt. I hope you enjoy!
The New Moon in Leo - 4/8/2024

Main themes:
Stepping into your power
Getting sassy about it!
Speak your truth
Share your gifts
My take:
So, let's get the scary sh*t out of the way first: head's up, while Leo can be a really fun, fiery and flirtatious time, we're also experiencing a Mercury retrograde, so it's doubly important to take pause, choose your words, and be mindful about where you're putting whatever you're putting out to... Mercury is retrograde in Virgo, so use this time to allow yourself to face the facts head-on, and rethink anything which needs a little extra attention. Virgo is a great sign for reviewing our lives and choices up until this point, but remember not to slip into judgement if you can help it.
Combine all of that with a Jupiter (bigness) and Saturn (hard lessons) clash, and this could be a pretty explosive time for us all. Eeek. Go gently, or else.
Nonetheless, lovely Leo is here right now, and it has got to be one of the most fun signs, especially for a New Moon which is full of opportunity and manifestation potential.
This Moon is a chance for us to sing our own praises... I know this can be uncomfortable at times, but embodying a confident energy is going to pay off even more during this time than any other. When a New Moon is in Leo, if you are able to affirm how fabulous you are, you stand the most chance of other people agreeing. But be careful not to be 'faking it'. Hone in on your actual skills, experience and magic, and don't be afraid to tell other's about it. You never know what it could lead to!
It's also important to connect with these wonderful pieces of self-praise for YOU too. Even if no-one is listening, work with your affirmations, honour yourself in your journaling pages, do some mirror work. SEE yourself, and give yourself the recognition that you've always wanted. You are worthy of everything your heart desires, sometimes we just need that little reminder.
And if thinking of yourself as being worthy, or valuable, or an important piece in the grand puzzle of The Universe makes you uncomfortable somehow, now is a really good opportunity to explore why.
Affirmations:
![three manifesting affirmations for the new moon in leo](https://static.wixstatic.com/media/5f6686_55e6f83091fe40aaa40603f4f855afa6~mv2.png/v1/fill/w_980,h_1470,al_c,q_90,usm_0.66_1.00_0.01,enc_auto/5f6686_55e6f83091fe40aaa40603f4f855afa6~mv2.png)
"I take pride in my achievements and own the impact I've made on the world around me. I have good reason to be confident so I freely express my magic to the world and make big moves as I go. I embrace and energy of 'sass', empowerment and flirtation, and have fun with it!"
Journaling prompt:

Make a list of all of the wonderful things about yourself! Write down what you are proud of, your achievements, your successes... Write about the lessons you've learned and the way you've become better for having learned them. Write about why you are a GIFT to the world!
Practice:
![a self-development practice for the new moon in leo](https://static.wixstatic.com/media/5f6686_f0aa0e3bb29b477bb8b07e002eb1f269~mv2.png/v1/fill/w_980,h_1470,al_c,q_90,usm_0.66_1.00_0.01,enc_auto/5f6686_f0aa0e3bb29b477bb8b07e002eb1f269~mv2.png)
Signing our own praises isn't always easy... It can feel icky and uncomfortable, especially for us as women who have been taught that being as small and silent as possible makes us 'Good Girls' (read: more palatable and hence more likeable). We might feel a little silly, or like we are being 'show offs' to connect with the things we love the most about ourselves, but honestly, that is all the more reason to do it anyway. So, this practice is about creating a list of personalised affirmations not about who you want to become (which is what we usually do with affirmations) but about who you really are right now. Once you have the list, find your favourite dancing song and get your butt moving! While you dance and sing, I want you to say these affirmations out loud: movement combined with mantra can literally create MAGIC, so prepare to bask in a powerful energetic upgrade! And if you'd like to share your experience, you are so welcome to join us in The Soul Snack subscription which you can sign up for right here <3

A Note from Me:
I love a Leo season, not least because I'm a Leo rising, and my spirit and hair match that to a T!
That said, this month is getting off to a kind of dull start for me... I'm feeling kind of bored, apathetic and frankly, fed-up of all the misery we are constantly being fed via social media and the 'news'. All the more reason to focus on The Soul Snack subscription, and I'm so glad that I have it as a way of distracting myself (and the women in it) from the wider-world stimuli which doesn't have our best interests at heart.
In other news, I'm putting a lot of energy into building out Mindfully Me. Mindfully Me is a term-time home-ed kids club with a conscious curriculum, which will start from September! This is a real passion project for me, not only because I'm excited to create something which will provide Walter with a community of like-minded friends, but also because our local area has so many home-ed families, but nothing in the way of a learning-through-play childcare provision where you can drop your kiddos off and know that they are in safe hands while the parents can go and 'do' their own lives. I'm honestly not sure whether there is going to be the take-up for it, but I am crossing my fingers and toes because I think it is so needed.
I'm continuing to integrate my plant medicine journey from the first part of this year too, and I'm keen to share about it very soon, so keep your eyes peeled for that.
With grace and grit,
Gabriella
